Created by Apple, iTunes is an amazing piece of software that plays videos and music on your computer, but it can do a whole lot more:
- Using iTunes Store you can preview, buy (or rent) and download full length movies, TV shows, videos and music.
- Import your music from a variety of sources like CDs, iTunes Store, Amazon or from your computer’s hard drive.
- Organise the music you import by creating libraries.
- Play music! You can locate the song you want quickly and play it exactly how you want to hear it.
- Build, organise and play your own collections of videos. Once videos have been imported into your library, iTunes makes watching them fun and easy.
- Categorise your iTunes content with tags to make it easier to find.
- Create playlists that contain only the songs you want to hear – in the order you want to hear them.
- Subscribe and listen to podcasts, both audio and video.
- Manage your content on other devices, such as iPhones, iPads and iPods.
- Share your music collections over the internet with your friends. And, of course, you can share their collections too.
- Burn your own music CDs.
- Use Ping to connect socially with others and share your iTunes activities. Discover what other people (including your favourite artists) are doing.
- Convert audio and video into different formats.
