When you visit a web page displaying a video that RealPlayer can download, (you can use RealPlayer to download Youtube videos), RealPlayer will display a Download This Video link.
You will usually see this link when you move your cursor over the video. When you click the Download This Video link, the RealPlayer Downloader will open and the video will start downloading. The RealPlayer Downloader shows you the progress the download is making.
You can use the downloader to monitor, pause, or stop the video’s download progress. However, you can also ignore RealPlayer Downloader as it downloads the video – you don’t need to monitor download progress. Because RealPlayer Downloader is handling the download, you can close the video’s web page or move on to other videos or web sites.
RealPlayer Downloader can “queue” multiple videos simultaneously. This means that while one video is downloading, you can add more videos from other web pages. The additional videos can download in the background while you do other things within RealPlayer or elsewhere on your computer.
Once the video has downloaded successfully, you can hover over it in the RealPlayer Downloader to make the control options appear:
